"For we know that... when we die and leave these bodies we will have wonderful new bodies in heaven, homes that will be ours forevermore, made for us by God himself and not by human hands. How weary we grow of our present bodies. That is why we look forward eagerly to the day when we shall have heavenly bodies that we shall put on like new clothes. For we shall not be merely spirits without bodies. These earthly bodies make us groan and sigh, but we wouldn't like to think of dying and having no bodies at all. We slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will, as it were, be
swallowed up by everlasting life.
This is what God has prepared for us,
and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. Now we look forward with
confidence to our heavenly bodies,
realizing that every moment we spend in these earthly is time spent away from our eternal home in heaven with Jesus. We know these things are true by believing, not by seeing. And we are not afraid but are quite content to die, for then we will be at home with the Lord. So our aim is to please him always in everything we do, whether we are here in this body or away from this body and with him in heaven. For we must all stand before Christ to be judged and have our lives laid bare before him. Each of us will receive whatever he deserves for the good or bad things he has done in his earthly body. It is because of this solemn fear of the Lord, which is ever present in our minds, that we work so
hard to win others."
2 Corinthians 5:1-11
I want to thank Tracy for the awesome scripture. It made me feel so good, knowing that my mom was such a great human being. It made me so proud to know that when my Mom went home she was praised for her goodness. I am happy she is free and allowed to make decisions and choices on her own. I am so glad she is FREE and probably so happy to be around her loved ones in Heaven. This scripture gave me such a wonderful feeling of happiness for her. I know when its my time to go my mom and I will be rejoicing that we can be together and be happy... SHE IS FREE!!!!!!
I was searching the internet today for some grieving sites..
Having a tough time with it so just trying to find some understanding,
(just to make sure all my crying and numbness is normal) anyway this poem about
knocked me over with a ton of bricks it was so MOM, I HAD TO SHARE!!
LOSS OF MOTHER POEM
Now that I am gone, remember me with smiles and laughter,
and if you need to cry, cry with your brother or sister who walks in grief beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms
around anyone and give to them what
you need to give to me.
There are so many who need so much.
I want to leave you something--something much better then words or sounds.
Look for me in people I've known or
helped in some special way.
Let me live in your heart as
well as in your mind.
You can love me most by letting your love reach out to our loved ones, by embracing them and living in their love.
Love does not die, people do.
So, when all that's left of me is love, give me away as best as you can.

THE BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning, that God
was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to loose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

Our Dad Jim Skagen died in 1996. I never got to do a website for him. He wanted to go so it was so different when we lost our MOM. I just found this
little poem I would like to share about Dads. When our Dad was well he was a great Dad and did really really care about his kids.
I loved him very much and do miss him to this day. He made his mistakes and I am sure if he were alive he would be man enough to admit them!!
We love you DAD!!!
WHAT MAKES A DAD
A Dad is a person
who is loving and kind,
And often he knows
what you have on your mind,
He's someone who listens,
suggests, and defends.
A Dad can be one
of your very best friends!
He's proud of your triumphs,
but when things go wrong,
A Dad can be patient
and helpful and strong
In all that you do,
a Dad's love plays a part,
There's always a place for him
deep in your heart.
And each year that passes,
your even more glad,
More grateful and proud
just to call him your Dad!
Thank you, Dad...
for listening and caring,
for giving and sharing
but, especially, for just being you!

Dad & Mom, we loved you both SO MUCH!!!
its even harder to believe that a woman with 5 children would marry ,love and live with a man that had nothing better to do than deny same children to a normal childhood . One without being beaten constantly ,one without beating there mother and making her have several breakdowns . All because some say she had nowhere to go or was afraid to loose her possession. Sader still is she let all the children except one be driven from her . In my world my children were and still are worth dying for if that's what it takes to protect and defend them . Now you have to ask yourself if the one that stayed and never left believed that what he thought and did was right . If you witness the destruction of the family all but you it s like a pedophile grooming his victim to help in his one last dastardly deed . How can I screw over all the children that I drove away from having s normal childhood but by getting the last one left to do everything but what is right in the end . He can say he destroyed the family and in the end made sure it stayed that way. Even if it means not doing things that are right.
1 yr after the death of the evil man, we find out about the death, and the youngest had been in collusion for years to get it all and she did, totally
screwed over her 3 senior sibling. Unreal!!!
our Mom's 4 bestess kids above. the youngest is left with the legacy of being a greedy evil person.. she is no longer our sister EVER!!!
